Pinoy Stuff for My Pantry

We did some shopping today and as usual, we included Pinoy stuff like Alamang (shrimp paste), Datu Puti soy sauce and vinegar (if there were Silver Swan brand, that would have been better but the Asian store in Reno where I went did not have it), egg crackers, Knorr sinigang mix, Lucky Me cup noodles, Patis (fish sauce), and Super Q yellow Bihon.

I do not really use them everyday but I make sure I have them when I need them.

When you are away from your country, buying stuff that you used to get back home is just heaven :)

Fried Pork Chops in Pinoy Crispy Fry Mix

The photo is owned by the author

During the packing of stuff for moving to Round Mountain, NV, I found out that I had this crispy fry mix in my pantry so I thought to use it before it expires.

The first thing that I bought from the General Store (the only grocery store in Round Mountain) when we finally moved in were Pork chops. I seasoned them with salt and pepper first, then I put them in a resealable bag, added the crispy fry mix until well coated then fried them.

It was so darn good dipping them with spiced Tuba Vinegar!

Yum, yum!
