Puto Cheese

soft and buttery

I made some today for my friend Ann.

Sharing the recipe which I got from a fellow girltalker.

You will need:

3 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 cup white sugar
2  tbsp baking powder
3 eggs or egg white only- today I used egg whites
1/2 cup melted butter
3 cups fresh milk or evaporated milk
Eden cheese (for toppings)
puto mold (I got them from the Philippines)
steamer

Procedure:

1. Mix the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, sugar). Sift.
2. Put eggs, milk and butter. Mix the batter well.
3. Put the batter in small muffin pans and let it steam for 10 minutes or until inserted toothpick becomes clear.
4. Put cheese on top and let it steam again until the cheese melts.

Egg with Ampalaya

Yum!

After a long time, I have finally had egg with ampalaya. Thanks God. And thanks to my good friend Emy. She bought them from Seafood City in Sacramento, California.

A lot of people don't like ampalaya because of its bitter taste but I am the other way. I love ampalaya. I can eat it raw or grilled, of course with vinegar and salt, tomato and onion.

How about you? Do you also like ampalaya?

Thanks for visiting!
